Spring rain refreshes the heart

2024.5.25 The weather changed from rainy to sunny, but it couldn't stop more than 1,800 people from attending the Spring Fair hosted by Richmond Hill Deputy Mayor Godwin CHAN. Holding umbrellas☔️, they lined up in a long line to get free barbecue tickets, hamburgers and hot dogs, and then lined up in another line to get ice cream after eating. It was really an interesting scene. It seems that Deputy Mayor Chen has good connections in the political arena. Those who came to congratulate included the Minister of Communities, Families and Children of Ontario, the Mayor of Richmond, several city councillors, the Superintendent of York Regional Police, the Inspector and the Deputy Fire Chief of Richmond. There were also countless police officers, York Regional Emergency Medical Team members and many firefighters who came to attend. The performances were rich and exciting, with a five-member band, multicultural dances, including Tai Chi fan dance, folk dances from different regions of Ukraine, unique homemade musical instruments, colorful worship dances in South Asian style, and Taekwondo demonstrations. The audience was fascinated. The final climax was the lucky draw, with the grand prize being two round-trip tickets to Las Vegas. The winners were pleasantly surprised and a little bit unconvinced of their luck. After three hours of the event, it ended successfully. Deputy Mayor Chen thanked the public for their support and expressed gratitude to all the volunteers. He vowed to expand the scale in 2025 and move to a larger venue.
